The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of Papua has a social protection program called Build Generations and Family Welfare or better known as "BANGGA PAPUA".
.
BANGGA PAPUA is one of the regional strategic policy breakthroughs that was initiated by the Governor of Papua Lukas Enembe to realize the Golden Generation of native Papuan children who are healthy, intelligent, and characterized and can actively promote the nation's name in the eyes of the international world.

.
Governor Lukas said, for the first time in the implementation of Special Autonomy (Otsus) in Papua distributed directly to the household level, so that its utilization can be felt directly by the people of Papua.
.
"Bangga Papua is a social protection program for indigenous Papuans, which is one of the breakthroughs we have made in utilizing special autonomy funds and is a contextual program for Papua in accordance with the challenges and conditions of development in Papua," said Lukas reflecting on the program that has been running for approximately two that year.
.
This social protection program is implemented in the scheme of providing cash assistance of 200 thousand per month per child to indigenous Papuan children under the age of four years. This funding is intended to purchase nutritious food to support children's development.
.
The source of funds for this program is from the Special Autonomy Fund and is channeled directly from Bank Papua to the accounts of mothers or legal guardians of children under 4 years of age.
.
The distribution of aid funds is also accompanied by comprehensive education related to how to fulfill proper nutrition and how to increase children's access to health services.
.
The purpose of this education is for the community to understand how to use aid funds properly, and to target changes in the way people think in order to prioritize the use of funds only for the needs of their children.
