Now a Startup Development Center Comes in Papua

President Joko Widodo launches a center for creativity development and startup business development among young Papuans, named after: Papuan Youth Creative Hub, in Jayapura. This development center will be built on Jalan Vim, in the Kotaraja region of Jayapura, with an area of ​​1.5 Ha.

On the land, a 6,000 m2 center for developing creativity, business, talent and innovation will consist of rooms for learning about business, internet technology, and programming and the basics of startup development.

In addition, there is also a dormitory to accommodate about 100 young men and women who will take part in business learning programs for 1-2 months. In that place, there will be self-development training, to complement business skills such as communication, leadership, and the basics of management.

The development center will be run by 21 young Papuans from seven indigenous areas, who have businesses, or social activities under the auspices of PT Papua Muda Inspiratif.

"I, as one of the young Papuans who have been struggling with startup business, feel that this is a good move to encourage more Papuan children to develop their creativity through business, or social movements," said Billy Mambrasar, Director Main from PT Papua Muda Inspiratif, in his statement, Tuesday (29/10).

He targets to give birth to approximately 100 startup owners to contribute to accelerating the development of the welfare of the people of Papua. "265 registered people who wish to become members, all are native Papuan youths and girls," he said.
