Papua Will Have Four Cool Sports Arenas

Papua Province will have a variety of cool new sports arenas, TemanBaik. This is to support the implementation of the XX National Sports Week (PON) in 2020.

At present, there are at least four sports arenas speeded up by the Ministry of Public Works through the Directorate General of Human Settlements. One of them is the Aquatic arena in the Kampung Harapan Sports Area, East Sentani District, Jayapura.

The arena, with a budget of Rp. 389.63 billion, has been under construction since the Ministry of Public Works and has been running since December 2018. It is targeted that the arena will be completed in July 2020 by construction service provider PT Waskita Karya.

This Aquatic Arena is cool! There are equipped with standard pool system facilities of the Federation Internationale de Natation (FINA) or the international master of swimming.

Another advantage, there is equipped with high quality lighting for sports areas and floodlighting areas with standard field of play (FOP), timing system, master clock, and scoring board. Secondly, the Ministry of PUPR is building Istora Papua Bangkit. Its location is in the Kampung Harapan Sports Area, East Sentani District, Jayapura.

Istora Papua Bangkit has been under construction since November 2018. Its construction budget has reached Rp263.87 billion. At present, the construction carried out by PT PP's construction service providers has reached 10.04 percent and is targeted to be completed in June 2020.

Istora Papua Bangkit will be equipped with various facilities. There will also be a large parking area for vehicles inside and outside. At present, construction has entered the construction of column construction, PDA test work, pile cap excavation, installation of pile cap formwork, and pile cap casting.

In addition, there are two more cool tablets, namely the construction of a cricket arena and a hockey field in Kampung Doyo Baru, Walbu District, Jayapura. The construction has been carried out since December 2018 by the contractor PT Nindya Karya. The total construction cost reached Rp277.1 billion and is targeted for completion by June 2020.
