List of Human Rights Crimes by Armed Criminal Groups in Papua

The armed criminal group (KKB) led by Egianus Kogoya is considered the group most responsible for a number of crimes committed in the past one year in Nduga Regency, Papua.

Based on the records, a series of shootings that killed dozens of civilians and 4 TNI and 1 Brimob member were carried out by Egianus Kogoya's group. Even a number of heavy equipment and air transportation were also the target of their attacks.

Not to mention the construction of the Trans Papua road to connect between regencies that are the priorities of the central government is disrupted. The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) also made all efforts to distort the facts, create misguided public opinion, Hoax on social media as if the TNI / POLRI committed human rights violations that occurred, even though all the events of human rights violations were carried out by KKB.

The following are some lists of crimes against human rights committed by KKB:

1, The shooting incident of a resident in Ilaga, the capital of Puncak Regency, Saturday (09/28/2019), the shooting incident occurred at Ojong Kiosk which is right at the end of Ilaga Airport, a resident named Syahrudin was shot dead on the spot.
2, KKB sporadically carried out the massacre of two motorcycle taxi drivers shot by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Amunggi Village, Ilaga Utara District, Puncak Regency. Thursday (9/26).
3, KKB Separatists make toddlers, children, adolescents and shielded mothers innocent lives in Kp. Olenki ilaga Kab. The peak was on Tuesday (09/17/2019) with civilian fatalities on behalf of Tekiman Wonda, Edison Mom, Rudi Mom. While the victims of gunshot wounds include, Topina Mom, Mrs. Tabuni, Mrs. Herina Kinal, Yefrina Mom. KKB separatists again claimed responsibility for all the events.
4, Conduct a sadistic slaughter of 31 workers in Kali Yigi and Kali Aurak in Yigi District, Nduga Regency. The 31 bridge workers who were construction workers from PT Istaka Karya were reported killed.
5, Armed separatist group (KKB) attacks and burns heavy equipment (1 unit of Excavator and 1 unit of Bulldozer) owned by PT Modern.
6, KKB Separatists fired on the Twin Otter Trigana Air plane that was hired by the Police Mobile Brigade. These Brimob troops are on duty to secure the elections. Two people were also injured in the incident.
7, Armed Criminal Group (KKB) committed Rape and mistreatment of teachers and medical personnel in Mapendum, Nduga Regency In October 2018,
8, the KKB group held dozens of teachers working at YPGRI 1 Elementary School, SMPN 1 and medical staff who were working at the Mapenduma Community Health Center, Nduga in 2018.

Some of the events above are the KKB's actions that violate gross human rights (HAM), the right to life of civil society has been seized in cruel and inhumane ways. The community is psychologically experiencing trauma, anxiety and fear over various violent events carried out by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Papua.

It is very contrary to what Benny Wenda, human rights activists and KKB officials revealed that many of the human rights violations that occurred in Papua were carried out by the TNI and POLRI, even though the separatist Armed Crime Group (KKB) themselves always committed acts of human rights violations.

To that end, local governments and citizens throughout Indonesia must unite and encourage the security forces of the TNI / POLRI to provide strict sanctions against Armed Criminal Separatists (KKB) perpetrators of human rights violators, so that casualties do not continue to increase. For the sake of saving the nation's children who are in Papua towards change towards Papua Peace and prosperity.
