Tap Water Ready to Drink for PON 2020 Papua

The Jayapura Regional Water Company (PDAM) will provide ready-to-drink water taps at several points leading up to the XX National Sports Week (PON) in 2020 in Papua Province.

The Managing Director of Jayapura PDAM Entis Sutisna told Antara in Jayapura on Monday that the provision of ready-to-drink water taps was to support PON and help the local government along with the community reduce plastic waste.

"For the time being, there will be two points which will soon be inaugurated, namely in the Main Hall of the Jayapura Mayor's Office and GOR Waringin Kotaraja," he said. "For two points in the area of ​​places of worship, the possibility of each being built in churches and mosques," he said.

According to Entis, there will be prepared and rebuilt tap water ready to drink at four points, two of which are in the school area and the other two in the worship area.

He explained that the provision of ready-to-drink water taps is a form of PDAM's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program to the community. "So besides providing clean water, we also want to provide social value for the community through this CSR program," he said again.

Entis added that his party will also socialize to the public so that in the future what is provided by PDAM can be put to good use.
