The Kampung Adat Fund Fund Allocation Program is ongoing in Jayapura Regency

A total of 14 customary village governments in Jayapura Regency are awaiting confirmation from the Ministry of Home Affairs. Therefore, they still use the village fund allocation (ADK) to finance local development needs.

"The use of ADK in the form of programs. There are six programs that will be implemented in each customary village at this time, namely the fields of government, education, health, customary justice, planning (development), and economics, "explained Elisa Yarusabra, Monday (01/20/2020).

Allocation in the form of programs has also been applied to the management of affirmative funds for traditional villages, which amount to Rp. 100 million a year. The program includes income allowances for customary or ondofolo heads.

"We have sent out socialization and notification letters and technical instructions (fund management) to each village. The program is ready to be implemented based on the amount of funds received (each village), "Yarusabra explained.

In addition to the customary village government, there are 24 preparatory customary village governments in Jayapura Regency. According to Yarusabra, they continue to optimize the function of the administration of traditional villages while awaiting approval from the central government. "At the latest, in March the traditional village has received the codefication (numbering from the Ministry of the Interior)."

Jayapura Regent Mathius Awoitauw said all government affairs and public services would be decentralized or delegated authority to the district. The district government only carries out the coordination and supervision function. "Most of the staff in Gunungmerah (district head's office) will be deployed (deployed) to assist the tasks of (district) government and villages."
