"If there is a PON contingent from outside Papua who wants to visit Wamena, the Regional Government is ready because this is the governor's instructions. We will also try to coordinate with PB PON in the future regarding whether or not souvenirs will be made for visitors. So we will prepare it.

In addition, it also supports the needs of vegetables during the implementation of the PON later from Jayawijaya. But it all depends on the district head who can coordinate the village head and the community to continue to open agricultural land.

Meanwhile Head of the Jayawijaya Culture and Tourism Office, Alpius Wetipo said the promotion of Jayawijaya tourism was unlimited. The uniqueness of existing tourist sites such as mummies, white sand, Lake Habema, natural caves will continue to be promoted.

"The uniqueness of tourism in Jayawijaya such as Mummies will spark contingent curiosity from outside Papua who want to come to Wamena to see and visit, because this PON is also a big event so that foreigners will definitely attend," Alpius Wetipo said.

In addition the department will also prepare souvenirs such as Noken, Koteka, Kare-kare, bracelets for tourist visits to this area. Especially in August there will be a Baliem Valley Cultural Festival (FBLB) plus October 2020 PON held.
