Millennial Special Staff Jokowi Bring-in Papua Products to the US

RI President's Special Staff for the millennial, Billy Mambrasar  will exhibit the products of young Papuan entrepreneurs in the United States. The goal is that Papuan products are known to the international community.

"So, last night I met with a number of young Papuan entrepreneurs who are trying to get through digital businesses. There I encourage them to play to the national to international level," Billy said in Jayapura, reported Antara, Thursday (12/12).

He said many young Papuan entrepreneurs do business via digital. It's just that it is still within the scope of the Papua region, not yet reaching the national level.

It needs to be pushed more forward so they can compete and try at a higher level. The effort to realize this, he said, certainly requires a strong commitment.

"If we look at young businessmen in Jakarta or other regions outside Papua, there are a lot of them. Even if we look at the staff (special staff) only, it is from the background of young entrepreneurs. Now when will these young Papuan businessmen get there at the same level? "Nadiem Makariem and Zacky, so I also encourage Papuan youth to go there or to that level," he said.

He gave an example of young business people from Papua, such as Patricia Ormuseray who pursue the field of cosmetics, then there are young Papuans focused on YouTube and influencers.

"I will bring some of their products and promote them to America, because I will attend the World Young Scientists Conference on December 19-23 2019. I will also introduce the businesses of young Papuan entrepreneurs there," he said.

That way, the founder of the Kitong Bisa Foundation hopes that young Papuans can develop better and not be afraid to compete with other business people.

"And young Papuans don't just think about doing local business, can play outside, think globally, can 'go international'," he said.
